# Account Executive - Company: [Clera]() - Location: remote - Team: Engineering - Employment type: Full Time - Salary: $75K – $140K - Posted: September 8, 2026 ## Job description ### About the Role This is the first Account Executive position at an early-stage AI startup, meaning you will own the full sales cycle and play a direct role in shaping go-to-market strategy alongside the founding team. The impact here is immediate: your deals drive company revenue and your insights help define how the product evolves. ### What You'll Do * Own the end-to-end sales process, from outbound prospecting and discovery through demos, negotiation, and close. * Act as your own SDR by researching target accounts, running outbound campaigns, and building a robust enterprise pipeline from scratch. * Manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals involving HR leaders, CFOs, and IT procurement teams. * Partner with founders to refine the ideal customer profile, test messaging, and build the foundational sales playbook. * Serve as the voice of the customer by translating prospect pain points into actionable insights for Product and Engineering. ### What We're Looking For * 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven track record closing complex enterprise deals. * Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated success generating leads and building pipeline independently. * Experience managing multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving C-suite and procurement teams. * Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments with minimal structure or support. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the grit to figure things out on the fly. * Experience selling into HR, Finance, or AI domains is a strong plus. * Background in building or refining sales playbooks and ICP frameworks is a plus. * Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available. ### Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: **$75,000 to $140,000 USD annually**.
