# AV Designer/Engineer - Dallas, Texas - Company: [Tangraminteriors]() - Location: Dallas, Texas - Team: Tangram Technology - Employment type: Full-time - Salary: $42 – $46 / per-hour-wage - Posted: September 24, 2025 ## Job description The AV Designer creates audio/visual wiring diagrams, architectural drawings, calculations, and submittals for projects. Act as a resource, providing technical assistance for projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction. Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs. Responsibilities:  \* Read and interpret AV systems drawings. \* Gather programming requirements. \* Create new control modules, control code and user interfaces. \* Create new audio DSP files. \* Mentor associate programmers/commissioners. \* Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code. \* Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed. \* Demonstrate completed system to client. \* Create end-user and programming-related documentation. \* Maintain and update programming code in installed systems. \* Maintain control code in version control repository.   \* Travel to various job sites required   Requirements:  \* Proficient with test and calibration equipment and programing languages. \* Have at least 3-5 years’ experience with Audio Visual Systems design required; experience with large-scale commercial projects a plus. \* Proficient in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems. \* Proficient in control system design (Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC). \* Solid communication skills with employees, clients, and colleagues, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization. \* Analytical and risk assessment abilities. \* Project management and deadline fulfillment skills. \* Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. \* Ability to diagnose and test complex system problems. \* Advanced computer skills for the design, configuration, optimization, and operations of AV equipment. \* Ability to work and think independently, ensuring to meet deadlines and adapting to changing priorities. \* Understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting. \* Exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. \* Crestron CTI-P201 or Q-SYS Level 2 or equivalent. \* Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Tangram’s driving standards. ## Apply [Apply on Tangraminteriors]() Canonical job page:
