# Founding Product Engineer - Company: [Clera]() - Location: remote - Team: Engineering - Employment type: Full Time - Salary: €80K – €120K - Posted: September 8, 2026 ## Job description ### About the Role This is a founding-level product engineering role at a fast-growing European AI voice and phone automation startup, sitting within a small, high-ownership Engineering team. You will take end-to-end responsibility for features, from early hypothesis through to production, directly shaping a product used by thousands of SMEs across Europe. The role matters because your work will have immediate, measurable impact on customers and on the direction of the product. ### What You'll Do * Own features end-to-end, from initial hypothesis and rapid prototyping through to production release. * Lead product discovery by designing and running lightweight experiments to validate ideas quickly. * Maintain regular contact with customers, partners, and Sales to surface and prioritise real pain points. * Design and implement tracking and metrics to support data-driven iteration. * Build across the full stack, driving architecture decisions and implementation through to release. * Balance pragmatic, fast-moving solutions with long-term scalability needs. * Take radical ownership of initiatives and drive them forward independently. ### What We're Looking For * At least 3 years of product engineering experience delivering features end-to-end. * True full-stack proficiency across **Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React**. * Hands-on experience in a startup or high-growth environment. * Native or near-native **German proficiency (B2 or above)**, essential for supporting a German-language product. * Fluent English for team and cross-functional communication. * Strong product mindset with ownership that extends well beyond writing code. * Comfort extracting and owning relevant metrics to argue for and iterate on decisions. * Experience integrating **large language models** or building AI-powered features is a strong advantage. * Availability to work with CET time-zone overlap. ### Compensation & Benefits Salary range: **80,000 to 120,000 EUR annually**, plus equity. Visa sponsorship is not available. ### Location Fully remote, with a preference for CET time-zone overlap. Candidates based in Germany or Austria are a strong fit.
