You will be a critical contributor to Cobalt’s financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes — supporting a platform that is scaling rapidly through acquisition. You will own your deliverables completely; you must be able to communicate with confidence, and bring a proactive, no-stone-left-unturned mindset to everything you produce. **Key Responsibilities** * **Financial Planning & Forecasting:** Support the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning across multiple business units. * **Variance Analysis & Reporting:** Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget and forecast, identify key variances, and deliver meaningful, decision-ready commentary to senior stakeholders. * **OneStream Administration:** Maintain and administer OneStream, managing data inputs across multiple business units and building reports used in monthly financial reporting and planning processes. * **Financial Modeling & Dashboards:** Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards that provide real-time, actionable insights into business performance. * **Data Integrity:** Ensure accuracy across all reporting and analytics efforts, applying a rigorous check-and-balance process to every deliverable before it reaches leadership. * **Executive & Sponsor Reporting:** Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and private equity sponsors, as well as quarterly financial reports for lenders. * **AI & Technology Adoption:** Champion the adoption of AI tools and Microsoft Copilot to streamline financial workflows, automate reporting tasks, and introduce best-in-class operational practices across the team. **Qualifications** * 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role; a career progression from accounting into FP&A is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated ability to manage data inputs, build reports, and support cross-functional planning processes within a CPM; OneStream experience is preferred. * Background in a late-stage, PE-backed company environment; experience supporting scaled operations and reporting to institutional investors is a strong plus. * Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required; CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus. * Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with Sage or Power BI is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to implement or support technology-driven process improvements, including AI-driven workflow automation. * Exceptional attention to detail with a proven, repeatable check-and-balance process for financial outputs. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present financial insights with clarity and confidence. **Core Competencies** * **Ownership Mindset:** Takes full accountability for deliverables and outcomes — no gaps left unaddressed, no excuses made. * **Confidence:** Presents analysis and recommendations with conviction, even when the data tells a difficult story. * **Proactivity & Sense of Urgency:** Anticipates needs, flags issues early, and moves with speed and purpose without waiting to be asked. * **Attention to Detail:** Maintains a personal check-and-balance process that ensures every report is accurate and ready for executive review before it leaves their hands. * **Prioritization:** Manages competing deadlines in a fast-scaling environment and makes smart, transparent calls about where to focus. * **Self-Starter:** Operates independently, brings structure to ambiguous situations, and doesn’t require hand-holding to deliver. * **Team Orientation:** Thrives in collaborative, high-energy environments and actively makes the people around them better. **Compensation and Timing** Compensation includes an annual base salary of $130-140k (*commensurate with experience*), plus bonus potential.
