We offer a market related, Total Remuneration Package which allows full flexibility according to your needs, a great work environment and a promise that you won’t be bored as long as you are prepared for a challenge and want to build something great. **This position reports to the Primary Logistics: General Manager** **Purpose of the role:**Responsible for the dispatch, receipt and management of parcels within Takealot. Its primary objectives therefore center on timeliness, efficiency and cost effectiveness. **Your responsibilities will include:** * Identified, distributed or delivered, and properly stored in designated locations. * Ensures efficient warehousing with timely movement of product. * Extracts data and generates reports that assist in performance tracking and decision making. * Oversee proper execution and accurate documentation of order filling, transporting and delivery/receiving. * Trains and supervises employees to carry out the functions under their control. * Implement health and safety standards. * Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area and other company standards * Identifies value-creation opportunities for the company in the movement and distribution of the product. * Works closely with senior management and Human Resources to resolve issues and ensure quality service to our customers. * Oversee maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machine * Perform all other duties as assigned **Qualification & Experience** * Degree or Diploma in logistics Management * Matric and 8 - 10 Years of related work and knowledge **Attributes Required**: * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment * Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods * Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality * Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt * Good team player, hard worker, willing to be flexible with a positive attitude * Must be able to work as part of a multicultural team * Good written and oral communication skills ***Takealot Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
