We are seeking an exceptionally talented **Lead Backend Engineer** to join our rapidly growing consulting team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high profile projects at the cutting edge of the software industry. | | | | --- | --- | | **Location** | Fully Remote/ European Residence required | | **Compensation** | Salary | | **Work Schedule** | Full time/ Flexible working hours | | **Reports to** | Head of Engineering | | **Member of** | Engineering Team | **To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:** * 10+ years development experience with backend technologies, including experience with modern backend architecture (i.e. microservices, etc.) * Significant development experience with C# and .NET. * Experience building and deploying solutions on cloud services (Azure preferred) * Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, distributed applications using independent services, focusing on APIs, containers, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and CI/CD. * Hands-on experience contributing to AI/ML-enabled products, such as integrating ML models or AI services into production backend systems (e.g., APIs, pipelines, inference services). * Experience collaborating with ML/AI specialists to translate models into scalable, reliable backend solutions (deployment, monitoring, performance, data flow). * Team Leadership and management experience * Fast learner with a can-do attitude and exceptional problem-solving abilities * Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working collaboratively on remote projects * English skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English) * A degree in computer science (or equivalent) **Ideal candidates will also have:** * Experience in a client-facing role managing and delivering software engineering projects * Experience architecting solutions on modern backend platforms * Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) * Strong understanding of DevOps concepts/process and CI/CD tools * Understanding of React.js and its core principles. **Why join Janea?
