# Maintenance Technician - Portrait at Painted Tree - McKinney, TX - Company: [Davisdevelopment]() - Location: McKinney, TX - Team: Property Management - Posted: August 25, 2026 ## Job description ### **Your role:** As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical integrity of the community by ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff maintenance responsibilities. ### **What you will do:** * Diagnose and perform minor or routine preventative maintenance or repair on all units and equipment * Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice  versa) as circumstances warrant * Inspect and help coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services of apartments after move out * Use expert knowledge to abide by pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials * Create and assist with work orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner * Schedule vendors and contractors/responsible for curb appeal * Ensure all amenities and grounds are finished and ready for review * Walk move-outs to assess damages/issues and reports results to the Maintenance Supervisor ### **What you will bring:** * Two or more years of experience in related field * EPA, OSHA, Fair Housing, and pool certification required * High school diploma or equivalent required * Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills * Works as part of a team, as well as completes assignments independently * Ability to operate a computer, phone system and general office equipment * Must be able to take calls for emergency requests * Must have a valid driver’s license and daily transportation for getting supplies and other duties * May need to  drive a golf cart * Company provided uniforms IND1 ### **What we offer:** * Great benefits, including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision, behavioral health and more) on the first of the month following 30 days of employment * 401(k) Savings Plan (4% employer match; 100% vested immediately) * Company paid life insurance (1x base salary) * Paid Time Off package with a carryover provision * Training and career development opportunities * Company Apparel Store allowance ### **Who we are:** Davis Development is a privately owned luxury apartment developer and property management company with 25+ years in the industry and a best-in-class reputation.
