## Job description

Daymark Health is a value-based oncology company redefining the cancer care experience for patients, providers, and health plans. Daymark’s comprehensive, personalized cancer care platform empowers patients with dedicated care navigation, symptom-focused support, behavioral health care, and social resources. Combined with evidence-based health interventions and a hybrid in-person + virtual care model, Daymark is improving the overall cancer experience for patients, providers, and health plans – and setting a new standard in cancer care.

Daymark’s groundbreaking approach is led by CEO Dr. Justin Bekelman, a pioneer in transforming cancer care, alongside some of the nation’s foremost leaders in oncology and value-based care. Daymark Health is backed by Maverick Ventures, Yosemite, Oncology Ventures, Healthier Capital, Blue Venture Fund, and Healthcare Foundry.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As Daymark's Oncology Educator, Learning & Development, you will support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training across the organization, with a particular focus on our Care Team members: Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, LCSWs, and Community Health Navigators. Reporting to the VP of Oncology Nursing and working closely with the Manager, Learning & Development, you'll bring clinical credibility and hands-on care experience to our training programs, helping ensure that what we teach reflects how care actually happens at the bedside — or in the home. This is a great role for an experienced nurse trainer while staying close to clinical practice, oncology, and value-based care.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**

**Onboarding & New Market Launches**

* Facilitate onboarding for new hires, with particular ownership of hands-on and shadow-based training for Care Team roles. Support new hires during their ramp-up period, answering clinical and workflow questions and flagging gaps in training materials.
* Prepare and deliver training materials for new cohorts of Care Team members as Daymark launches in new markets. Travel to new markets as needed to support in-person training and go-live readiness.
* Gather feedback from new hires and managers to help refine onboarding content and pacing. Capture learnings from each market launch and incorporate them into future onboarding and training playbooks.

**Clinical Education & Continuing Education**

* Partner with the Manager, L&D and with leadership to build and maintain well-organized, scalable training content that reflects current oncology, palliative, and value-based care standards.
* Help track completion of required training and certifications for RNs, NPs, LCSWs, and Community Health Navigators.
* Bring frontline clinical experience to the design of training materials, helping translate clinical guidelines and protocols into clear, practical training content.
* Monitor emerging clinical guidelines and licensure requirements relevant to Care Team roles, and flag updates that should be incorporated into training.

**Quality Monitoring & Continuous Improvement**

* Review Care Team documentation and workflows against Daymark's clinical quality measures, identifying adherence gaps or trends and developing targeted training content to address them.
* Follow up with Care Team Managers on quality findings, coaching them on corrective actions and reinforcing best practices.
* Support the Manager, L&D in evaluating training effectiveness, using feedback and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Market Operations, and People teams to ensure training stays aligned with clinical workflows and organizational priorities.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

* **Clinical Background.** Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. Hands-on clinical experience in oncology and/or palliative care is required. ONS certification preferred.
* **Interest in Training & Education.** Some experience (formal or informal) with precepting, mentoring, onboarding new staff, or leading in-service training; enthusiasm for growing into a full-time learning & development career.
* **Communication Skills.** Comfortable explaining clinical concepts and workflows clearly to a range of audiences, both in person and virtually.
* **Detail-Oriented & Organized.** Able to manage training logistics, documentation, and compliance tracking accurately and consistently.
* **Builder Mentality.** Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where processes are still being built, and excited to help shape training programs from the ground up.
* **Willingness to Travel.** Able to travel up to 25% of the time to support training and go-live readiness in new markets.
* **Flexible & Hands-On.** Willing to train on and jump into virtual care staffing as needed to support the Care Team, especially during onboarding, launches, or coverage gaps.
* **Mission-Driven.** Passionate about improving the experience of people navigating a cancer diagnosis, and motivated to help build the team that delivers on that mission.

**Additional Information**

The expected compensation for this role is $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on location & experience.

This role is fully remote but will require up to 25% travel.
