This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with TAKEALOT explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven and fast-moving environment of E-commerce **This position reports to the : DC Outbound Manager** **Your responsibilities will include:** * Overall management and coordination of all warehousing functions * Oversee Outbound/Inbound operations – manage entire the process within Outbound/Inbound during their shift * Responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of stock handling from receipt from suppliers to dispatch to customers including the returns department * Ensure daily, weekly and monthly planning is done for all warehousing operations and manage adherence to plan * 5S Adherence & Safety compliance - Effective management of housekeeping and ensure all safety protocols are followed * Management of resource to be effective and efficient at lowest cost and according to changing needs * Staff Management – Supervise department staff and Effective leadership and direction for the operation team through evolvement * Cross-department co-ordination – communication with Dispatch, Inbound, Inventory and TES service teams to deliver on the relevant key business drivers * Manage customer liaison process and ensure that warehouse queries are resolved timeously and exception trends are addressed * Ensure that warehouse space, equipment and warehouse flow is optimised and that future * Warehouse requirements are planned * Ensure stock accuracy through disciplined stock control * Operate an efficient Distribution Centre by identifying, implementing and managing optimal processes and procedures, to minimise costs and maximize working capital and implement stock accuracy; Ensure reduced packfail and Inbound Exceptions SOP are followed and all exceptions are collected on time with accuracy **Qualification & Experience:** * Grade 12 * Relevant tertiary education * 5+ years’ experience in directly and indirectly managing people to deliver continuous improvement E-commerce experience * ERP systems knowledge * Experience in working with budgets and cost analysis * LEAN or continuous improvement * Performance management skills –knowledge of Industrial * Relations and practices **Attributes Required**: * Strong communications skills * A structured and disciplined management style * Ability to motivate and inspire others a must * Strong problem-solving skills * Self-starter with high energy levels a must * Well-developed business and operational acumen * Analytically minded and able to find and use data to inform decision making * Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines * Good attention to detail * Strong Customer Service Orientation Goal orientated and motivated to succeed * Dynamic individual with proven experience in delivering change and innovative solutions. **The Environment**:  * takealot.com employees are entrepreneurial and dynamic, smart, customer- centric, fun and have the shared ambition of takealot.com being the leading e- commerce company in Africa. * We have fun, work hard, take ownership, work in teams to create solutions, and are always open to direct feedback/new ideas on where we can improve. * We are short on ego and high on output. * We are doers and not only thinkers, its all in the execution after all. * We love what we do and what we are creating. * We seek to employ an **Extra Ordinary Mind** who is Smart, has Integrity, and is Hardworking.
