Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build. We are looking for a Prototype Development Technician to take a hands-on role in building early stage mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for humanoid robot development. Responsibilities: * Build  mechanical and electromechanical assemblies from CAD, schematics, and verbal guidance—often with limited to no work instructions * Perform electrical tasks including wiring, soldering, and assembling custom harnesses * Help execute tests, diagnose issues and implement solutions in partner with engineering teams * Iterate on designs and incorporate frequent revisions * Document build processes, findings, and feedback to support design * Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to support development Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical prototyping or assembly * Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and wiring diagrams * Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues across mechanical and electrical * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities * Strong communicator Bonus Qualifications: * Degree in related technical field * IPC certification * Prior experience building robotic systems * Experience 3D CAD modeling * Experience with 3D printing, machining, or other in house fabrication The US hourly range for this full-time position is between $30 - $40/hr.
