# Software Engineer - 2 - Company: [Tripactions]() - Location: Bengaluru, IN - Team: Engineering - Posted: September 9, 2026 ## Job description Navan has transformed the corporate travel, payment, and expense landscape by consistently prioritizing user needs We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer 2 for our AI-first engineering team to drive the architecture of a next-generation corporate expense management platform, In this role, you will scale backend systems powering global commerce, payments, issuing platforms, and Payment/money ledgers, while building infrastructure for automated policy management, granular admin controls, and seamless accounting system integrations. **What You’ll Do:** * **Design, Build, and Evolve:** Architect and develop end-to-end features across the stack. You will evolve the **robust Java/Spring Boot backend services** that power our platform, while building the responsive frontend interfaces for our Admin and User portals. * **Build Enterprise-Grade Workflows:** Create **powerful backend engines** and supporting UIs for complex business domains, such as configuring travel policies, visualizing approval chains, and managing user roles/permissions. * **Build Data-Driven Services:** Architect and scale APIs and data services that manage high volumes of data, ensure **transactional integrity**, and power reporting features and seamless integrations. * **Own Features End-to-End:** Take technical ownership of a problem domain, facilitating the design, development, and launch of key **microservices** and features that have a direct impact on our users. * **Collaborate Across Teams:** Work cross-functionally with various engineering, product, and design teams to deliver complex, cross-domain features in a collaborative environment. * **Drive the Vision:** Partner with engineering and product leadership to identify, plan, and execute the long-term technical vision for your domain and be a subject matter expert. * **Champion Best Practices:** Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by writing high-quality, well-tested code, mentoring other engineers, and advocating for best practices in **testing, monitoring, and operational reliability**. **What We’re Looking For:** * **2-4 years of experience** in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack web applications in fast-paced SaaS environments. * **Backend Architecture:** Deep, hands-on experience in server-side development using **Java and Spring Boot**.
