We are currently seeking a System Engineer who is enthusiastic about systems engineering and autonomy compute systems. This work is aligned to best-in-class functional safety and cybersecurity standards. **What you'll do:** We are looking for a dynamic **Systems Engineer** who will bring new ideas and optimizations to the AD-Kit Systems Team.  The Systems Engineer owns and drives the technical direction of key aspects of the AD-Kit System. The team is responsible for authoring, maintaining and analyzing technical requirements, and working across the product lifecycle to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful bring-up, testing, validation and integration of the AD-Kit System. This includes, but is not limited to, embedded computes, data logging, power distribution, smart antenna, and all sensor modalities (radar, LiDAR, camera, microphone, etc). * Develop system requirements that meet functional safety and security standards. * Maintain requirements databases using Jama, ensuring accuracy and traceability. * Partner with the Product team to interpret product-level requirements and decompose into detailed autonomy system requirements. * Support the development of AD-Kit System functional architecture. * Develop AD-Kit System integration and test plans. * Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and champion this with others in the group. * Perform problem-solving activities during design, prototype, and production, driving root cause analysis and problem resolution. **What you’ll need to succeed:** * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field and 0-3+ years of experience * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Hands-on systems, hardware, and software engineering experience. * Familiarity or experience with data buses such as CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, I2C. * Experience with high-speed signaling and signal integrity. **Bonus Points!** * Experience with ISO 26262 standards and ASPICE and how to creatively apply these concepts to iterative design and development. * Experience working with safety-critical and fail-operational control systems. * Experience with and strong understanding of automotive ECUs and methodologies. * Experience with Requirements Management Tools such as Jama. * Expertise in establishing a robust functional safety case for L4 autonomous applications. * Experience with high-speed signals on PCBs such as PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR memory. * Experience with C, C++, Python and/or Linux. * Experience designing, executing, and documenting lab-based and/or real-world field tests. * Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive electronics. * Experience with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. **Hiring Range for Job Opening** US Pay Range $98,800—$118,600 USD ## Apply [Apply on Torcrobotics]() Canonical job page:
