Information Manager

We are looking for an experienced Information Manager to lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of BIM and CAD information across a diverse portfolio of projects. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for ensuring information is managed in accordance with ISO 19650 standards, client requirements and industry best practice.
Working closely with project teams, clients and senior stakeholders, you will drive digital excellence, lead multidisciplinary information management teams and help shape the future of BIM and data delivery across the business. About You
As an Information Manager, you will be an experienced BIM and digital information leader with a proven track record of managing teams, information governance processes and project delivery within complex engineering or construction environments.
You will be passionate about delivering high-quality information management solutions, developing people and implementing best practice processes that improve project outcomes. You will combine strong technical expertise with excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Your background will ideally include:
Significant experience leading BIM and information management teams.
Advanced knowledge of ISO 19650 and information management principles.
Extensive experience using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and associated BIM technologies.
Strong understanding of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and information governance.
Experience integrating BIM data with asset management, GIS and operational systems.
Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Solibri, Enscape, Recap and related digital delivery platforms.
Commercial awareness with experience managing resources, budgets and project performance.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement, innovation and digital transformation.
The ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage BIM and CAD teams, ensuring quality, consistency and compliance across all project deliverables.
Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to support team development and professional growth.
Manage resource planning and forecasting to ensure effective utilisation and delivery against programme requirements.
Lead recruitment activities and ensure teams have the capability and capacity to meet project demands.
Establish performance measurement processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives across people, processes and technology.
Information & BIM Management
Take overall responsibility for the quality and integrity of BIM and CAD information produced by the team.
Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 standards, client requirements and internal governance procedures.
Develop, implement and maintain BIM and CAD standards, procedures and workflows.
Manage the integration of record information into operational and configured baselines.
Oversee the production and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project information requirements.
Support information assurance activities and coordinate compliance reviews prior to asset handover.
Project Delivery & Coordination
Lead the delivery of BIM and digital information across multidisciplinary projects.
Coordinate modelling teams and ensure the successful integration of information across design disciplines.
Ensure modelling outputs meet the required Levels of Information Need (LOIN), Levels of Detail (LOD) and client standards.
Organise and lead project review meetings, reporting on progress, quality and performance.
Collaborate closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners to resolve challenges and maintain delivery objectives.
Business & Client Development
Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional delivery and technical excellence.
Participate in client presentations, workshops and strategic reviews.
Identify opportunities for service growth, innovation and new business development.
Support wider digital delivery initiatives, automation opportunities and business improvement programmes.
Promote knowledge sharing and best practice across the wider organisation.
Experience & Skills Required
Qualifications & Knowledge
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in BIM, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
Advanced understanding of BIM methodologies and information management processes.
Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and digital information standards.
Understanding of construction, engineering and asset lifecycle management processes.
Knowledge of point cloud surveying and integration within BIM workflows.
Awareness of data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
Ability and willingness to obtain security clearance, potentially up to DV level.
Technical Experience
Experience leading BIM and information management functions within engineering, construction or facilities environments.
Experience managing BIM deliverables in accordance with ISO 19650-2 and ISO 19650-3.
Experience managing information for operational facilities and complex asset environments.
Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solibri, Enscape, Recap and related software.
Experience managing information through CDE platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Understanding of asset information requirements and lifecycle information management.
Experience reporting on project performance, quality and delivery metrics.

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements.
