What we are looking for

A senior HR leader who can stand up and scale the people foundation for a new site in India, acting as both a strategic business partner and an execution oriented launch leader. This person should be able to operate at executive level while also driving operational rigor across hiring, employee experience, compliance, workforce planning, and site readiness.

Profile

Senior, credible HR leader with the executive presence to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively, and drive decisions in a fast moving, ambiguous environment. Comparable senior HRBP and HR Director roles emphasize direct partnership with senior leaders, long term workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, and the ability to lead through complexity.

Builder mindset with experience launching, scaling, or transforming operations, ideally in a high growth, multi site, or global environment. The role should be comfortable creating structure where little exists, balancing immediate launch needs with longer term scalability.

Strong operator across the full HR stack able to work strategically, operationally, and tactically. Leading HR Director profiles specifically call out the need to design the operating model, improve processes, set service levels, and maintain quality while supporting a rapidly expanding business.

Deep business partnership capability with strength in workforce planning, org design, leadership coaching, change management, and talent planning. Senior HRBP profiles consistently describe this role as a strategic advisor to leadership on culture, capability, performance, team dynamics, and difficult organizational decisions.

High judgment on employee relations and compliance with the ability to navigate sensitive issues, local labor law considerations, and governance risk. Comparable roles explicitly call for ownership of complex employee relations matters and close partnership with Legal on high risk topics.

Data driven and systems fluent with the ability to use HR metrics, funnel data, workforce insights, and HR systems to drive decisions, identify issues early, and improve execution. Comparable senior HRBP profiles emphasize HR analytics and strong HRIS fluency.

What this person would own in our model

Lead the India people strategy and launch readiness for the site.

Coordinate across the 14 launch initiatives and 8 workstreams to ensure people readiness is embedded in major decisions.

Partner with leaders on workforce planning, org design, talent strategy, employee experience, and change management.

Coordinate the RPO and govern the full recruiting engine in  country, with the RPO owning high volume teammate hiring and internal recruiters focused on salaried and leadership roles.

Build the local operating rhythm across onboarding, compliance, policy application, manager support, and site stabilization.

Set the long term HR model for India, including when and how to move from a fully onsite launch structure to a more flexible operating model.

Ideal background

Likely 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful time in HRBP, site leadership, or country / regional HR roles, plus demonstrated success supporting senior leaders, building scalable people practices, and operating in complex, fast growth environments.
